Eight full papers were presented in four paper sessions at PASC18, describing high-quality contributions of original research related to scientific computing in a variety of different disciplines. The goal of the PASC Conference papers program is indeed to advance the quality of scientific communication between the various disciplines of computational science and engineering in the context of high performance computing.
Among the presented papers, two were selected as “best papers” by the PASC18 Scientific Committee, which placed particular weight on impact, interdisciplinarity and interest to a broad audience:
