SUMMARY:Accelerated Quantum Supercomputing: SKQD on QPUs and GPUs at LRZ
DESCRIPTION:Zohim Chandani (NVIDIA Inc.)\n\nRecent advances in quantum com
puting for molecular electronic structure are shifting from variational qu
antum algorithms toward subspace-based, sample-driven approaches that inte
grate quantum devices with classical high-performance computing (HPC). Qua
ntum-Selected Configuration Interaction (QSCI) exemplifies this paradigm b
y using quantum hardware as a configuration sampling engine to probe many-
body wavefunctions that are difficult to sample classically, while relying
on classical diagonalisation to maintain robustness against hardware nois
 e. The emergence of hybrid HPC platforms with co-located quantum processin
g units (QPUs) further motivates algorithms that integrate naturally into
multiscale simulation pipelines. In this talk, we present an extended QSCI
framework in which stochastic Hamiltonian time evolution, implemented usi
ng the qDRIFT protocol, guides configuration subspace selection. We discus
s the hardware and software requirements needed to execute these workflows
and how CUDA-Q enables scaling of software on GPU and QPU infrastructure.
